Donovan Group "8" Ball:

Here is a job that breaks out of the realm of just printing. The client wanted to recreate the famous Magic 8 Ball toy, but with custom colors and custom messages. The quantity was only 200. Atlas purchased 4" diameter hardwood balls, bored them out, and painted them a custom match color. Cubes were machined out of a plastic that had the proper specific gravity to allowed random tumbling in the fluid, and messages were screen printed onto the (6) facets. The cubes were sealed into fabricated acrylic vials that were then filled with a 50/50 vodka/water mix. (filling the vials was very intoxicating!). Finally, the balls were pad printed with (2) hits of white plus (2) colors for the logo. The finished balls were then each placed in a matching reverse tuck box. The result was a very special promotion indeed.
