Fast Company Magazine had a problem. They wanted to create a unique
presentation piece with an expandable pocket to hold a set of tabs on
one panel, elastic cord across the corners of the other panel to retain
a magazine. They wanted a turned edge product, lined with bonded leather,
but they wanted it on a thinner material than is usually done for such
products. They also wanted all copy to be foil stamped. And they did
not want to spend a lot of money! Atlas produced this piece in China
at more than half the cost of producing it domestically, on a material
that most domestic manufacturers were not equipped to handle.
