History Atlas Press was founded by Ronald Grossman (Allan’s father-in-law) in 1969 after he had worked in the printing industry in various jobs from stripping to pressman for 17 years. From the very beginning the emphasis was on service and technical expertise for the client. Atlas became famous for pulling off the impossible with respect to innovative production techniques and delivery schedules. Allan joined in 1988 fresh out of engineering school, and set the stage for the second generation of ownership.Atlas Press has developed into one of the area’s oldest and most respected print production agencies. Our structure is unique in that we have no management hierarchy. We have no receptionist, anyone who answers the phone knows you and your project. We are not a “sales organization”, we are a group of printing professionals that care deeply about what we do. We strive to add value to your print production experience with input and advice. The earlier we can be brought into a project, the better, because often times we can help avoid problems before they arise. |
